On  22 Nov, 1916, at the age of 87 years, Johanna applied for a widows pension based on Andre's military service.  She could not write so she signed the application with an "X".

Clabots - Johanna Maria Clabots, aged 65 years, a pioneer resident of Humboldt, died at the home of her son, Fred Clabots, in Humboldt, Monday.  The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from St Mary's Church, Humboldt.  The Rev Halinda will officiate.
The deceased is survived by seven sons, Julius and Frank Lamal, of Green Bay, Peter Lamal of Ashland, John, Peter, and Fred of Humboldt, and Frank Clabots, of Susanville, Cal.
Francis and Johanna and their son (Andrew, born 15 Sep 1855 - died 03 Apr 1874) are buried at St Marys Catholic Cemetery, Town of Humbolt, Brown County, WI
