HALF CENTURY RESIDENT PASSES AWAY YESTERDAY
Frank Van Der Kelen, a Resident of Brown County for 54 years, Passes
Away at Son's Home.
The death of Frank Van Der Kelen, a retired farmer
of the town of Eaton, who had made his home in this city for the past 15
years, occurred yesterday afternoon at the home of his son, Al Van Der
Kelen. At the time of his death the deceased was 77 years of age.
Mr Van Der Kelen had been a resident of Brown County for the past 54 years.
The funeral will be held Saturday morning from SS Peter and Paul church
at 8:30 o'clock, Father Anderegg officiating. The interment will
be at Preble. (Note: Frank and his wife Lucy are buried in Holy Martyrs of Gorcum Cemetery.)
The deceased is survived by seven children and one brother. The children are the following: Mrs. John Nockaerts
of Bellevue, Mrs Phillip Watermolen of this city, Mrs. J Watermolen of
Bellevue, Mrs Louis LaCourt of this city, and Mrs Frank Van Der Heiden
of Eaton, Al Van Der Kelen and Theo. Van Der Kelen of Bellevue. He
also leaves one brother, John Van Der Kelen of Humboldt.
