On October 5, 1923 Grandpa Lamal died at the
age of 65. My sister and I went for a walk with Grandpa Lamal on
my dad and mother s farm. He decided to pull a plant of potatoes.
The first plant had no potatoes on it, so he pulled out the second plant;
he went backwards to the ground and was dead. They took him to the
farm on what they called a stoneboat pulled by a team of horses, where
the ambulance picked him up.
